Objective

- You recognize the importance of physical activity in supporting the wellbeing of individuals across different age groups.
- You are able to analyze the factors that threaten the wellbeing and health of people of different ages.
- You can plan, implement and evaluate various measures to promote physical activity in different environments across the stages of the human lifespan.

Content

- Physical activity recommendations for different age groups
- The costs of physical inactivity
- Physical activity as a promoter of wellbeing and health across the lifespan
- Active environments for children and adolescents; planning, implementing and evaluating initiatives that promote physical activity
- Factors influencing workplace wellbeing, manifestations and effects of workplace wellbeing, and methods for promoting it
- Age‑related changes in health and functional capacity; physical activity for older adults (strength and balance training)

Execution methods

The course includes on‑campus contact teaching and online teaching at the times indicated in the timetable, as well as independent study. The Physical Activity Services for Older Adults is delivered entirely as online studies.
