Objective
Students
- are able to describe key mental health and addiction problems as well as the principles of positive mental health and mental health promotion
- recognizes key legislation and service structures related to mental health and substance abuse work in social welfare
- can recognize different crisis situations and different social welfare practices for helping in them
- is able to safely and resourcefully encounter clients suffering from mental health or addiction problems and behaving aggressively, as necessary and in a way that strengthens their participation
- is able to select and apply key social welfare working methods related to mental health and substance abuse work according to the client's situation.
