Objective

Student:
-understands that service production in social and health care is part of the social economic system
-is familiar with financial administration terminology and masters the planning, implementation and assessment of economic activities while managing a work unit
-is able to analyse the organisation's economic situation and with the help of the financial statement and carry out the necessary actions to balance the economic situation
-is able to use Activity Based Costing as the cost accounting method for activities and products/services
-masters the productisation process as well as procurement and competitive tendering mechanisms
-masters the overall financial and operational planning of a work community

Measurement of economic performance
Budgeting and management accounting schemes of public communities, central processes and theories
Activity Based Costing as calculation method for activities and products and tool for strategic planning and management
Strategy in the annual planning of operation and economy
Financial administration terminology and key ratios in social and health care (profitability, economy, effectiveness and cost-benefit-analysis)

Economic Competence
Student
-masters the main concepts of financial administration and is able to plan, implement and critically assess the economic operation of a work community
-is able to analyse the organisation's economic situation and be proactive as per the necessary procedures
-is able to develop different methods in order to develop and assess the profitability and effectiveness of the work community in cooperation with the operators of the responsibility area
-masters the productization process and procurement and competitive tendering mechanisms and is able to assess their functionality
-masters the overall annual planning of the work community (strategy based plan of action, budget and HR competence development plan)

Student
-masters the main concepts of financial administration and is able to plan, implement and assess the economic operation of a work community
-is able to follow the organisation's economic situation and be active as per the necessary procedures
-is able to develop the work community's economic operation responsibly and methodically
-is familiar with competitive tendering and productization mechanisms
-is able to plan the overall annual operation of the work community (strategy based plan of action, budget and HR competence development plan)
