Objective

The students are able to actively seek information about gaming research and game design methods and to form their own perceptions. They are able to conduct surveys and development projects related to their own field. The students will deepen their information retrieval skills and knowledge of modern methods of acquiring, using, and applying information and evaluating and presenting results. The students will be able to use new game design methods in a workshop. The students will understand the issues related to the field and the interfaces of different disciplines and can examine them critically.

The students use knowledgeable and versatile concepts of game research and game design. They are able to analyze, compare, combine and choose information and present combined information. The students are able to critically analyze and evaluate completed studies and to actively participate in the project or commission.
The students are able to analyze, reflect and evaluate their own competence critically. They are able to work independently, responsibly and with initiative. The students are able to work as group members, promoting and developing the group's activities to achieve a common goal.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students use the concepts of game research and game design consistently. They are able to describe and justify their choices. The students are able to analyze a completed piece of research and to work on a project or assignment. The students are able to analyze their own competence. The students are able to work independently and responsibly. They are able to work as group members to achieve a common goal.

The students can use the concepts of game research and game design related to the course appropriately. The students are able to summarize a piece of research and to work in a project or on a commission under supervision. They are able to evaluate their own competence. The students are able to work as members of a group taking responsibility for their own activities.
