Windows environment and tools programmes
The basics of word processing, spreadsheet calculation, using the Internet, image processing and
publishing programmes.
Use of networks
Data protection and security
Use of digital systems for information retrieval.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass:
To pass students must be able to demonstrate that they possess the basic level of IT skills required
in their studies and at work. Their competence will be assessed in a final exam and by assignments
handed in for assessment.
