The Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Leisure Management leads to a Bachelor of Sports Studies (in Finnish: Liikunnanohjaaja (AMK)). The studies are worth 210 credits and take 3.5 years to complete. The degree consists of basic studies, professional studies, optional professional studies, free-choice studies, practical training and a thesis. At KAMK, the School of Business includes degrees in Tourism, Business and Sports allowing you to select courses and modules from other fields as well.

During the studies, you will practice instructing sports and exercise, work as fitness and nutrition coach and implement various projects and events. Furthermore, you will become familiar with sports technology and get to know the basics of Exergaming. The programme emphasises the development of sports and exercise skills and competence particularly required in health-promoting physical exercise, business and sport tourism. Your professional competence will be built upon a multidisciplinary knowledge base, as well as practical and interpersonal skills. This will enhance your opportunities to find employment opportunities after graduation.

Your personal study path may include developing your international competence in one of our partner universities abroad or taking a practical training abroad. The study path will also be supported by various project-based studies, practical training periods and also thesis. With good planning, it will be possible also to graduate sooner than in 3,5 years.
