The student:
Can apply medical knowledge of anesthesiology and the most common diseases requiring surgical treatment in nursing practice.
Understands the care pathway of a surgical patient and the stages of the perioperative care process.
Knows and uses key nursing methods in surgical patient care environments.
Can apply the principles of pain management at different stages of surgical patient care.
Can implement safe medication administration, fluid therapy, and blood transfusion for patients.
Can guide surgical patients and their families in terms of the patient's recovery, rehabilitation, and commitment to self-care.
