Objective
The student:
Can describe the principles and methods of family nursing and apply them in nursing environments.
Knows the normal course and monitoring of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period and uses this knowledge in nursing practice.
Can guide and support the family in parenthood. Can engage with the child, adolescent, and family by supporting their participation and resources.
Can apply their knowledge of the most common physical and psychological illnesses of children and adolescents in nursing practice.
Content
Principles and methods of multidisciplinary and comprehensive family nursing.
Nursing care for the mother and family during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.
Growth, physical and psychological development, and social aspects of children and adolescents of different ages, and their impact on determining, providing, and evaluating nursing care needs; special features of evidence-based nursing for children and adolescents.
Play as a support for child development and as an aid method.
Child and adolescent in illness: vital functions and their monitoring, pain manifestation, assessment and management, fluid and medication therapy for children and adolescents, common mental health disorders, guidance for the child and family.
Medical science related to pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period (obstetrics) and medical science of children's diseases (pediatrics)

Can apply evidence-based knowledge in the guidance of children and adolescents of different ages and their families, and apply evidence-based knowledge in a diverse and critical manner in nursing care.
Can describe the medical treatment of children's diseases in a comprehensive and critical manner. Can implement safe fluid and medication therapy for children and adolescents and use appropriate nursing activities.
Can describe the normal course and monitoring of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, and can explain the special features related to the care of newborns
