Objective

The students will understand what serious games are and their uses and importance in their own field. They will be familiar with the game development process and can act in the role of product owner in serious game development projects. The students will understand the technological perspectives of such development and while being familiar with different innovation and idea generation methods, and able to apply a chosen method to create a game idea.

Acting as product owner/the role of the customer/party ordering the game
Aims of the game (motivation, attitudes)

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The students know what serious games are and are able to describe why they are significant within their own field. They will be familiar with the game development process and the role of the product owner in a serious game development project. They will be aware of the opportunities created by technology in serious game development and can produce a game idea with their chosen method.
