Objective

Students will know which factors lead to an infection and how to prevent infections from spreading. They will also know the most common infectious diseases, related legislation and be proficient in the duty to keep the public informed.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students are able to use the professional terms of their field of study and combine them. They are able to analyse, compare, combine and select knowledge and offer alternative procedures. They are able to analyse, reflect upon and critically assess their own expertise and the professional procedures of their field using previously acquired knowledge. They are able to work independently, responsibly, with initiative and flexibly in any type of learning and operational environments. They know how to select and critically evaluate techniques and models and can use them in their work. They have mastered a customer, goal and development oriented approach to their work. They critically apply professional ethical principles in their work.

The students are able to use the professional terms of their field of study systematically. They are able to name, describe and justify basic knowledge concerning their professional field. They can select appropriate ways of working based on acquired knowledge and instructions. They are able to reflect upon and critically assess their own expertise and the professional procedures of their field. They are able to work independently and responsibly on different tasks in any type of learning and operational environments. They are able to apply techniques and models systematically to their work. They are able to work professionally in customer situations and can work in a group to achieve the group's common goals. They are able to justify their work according to professional ethical principles.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to use the main/individual professional terms of their field of study as required. They are able to name, describe basic knowledge concerning their professional field. They are able to work as required though some uncertainty may be apparent. They are able to work as required in various learning and operational environments. They are able to use the techniques and models of their professional fields in their work as required. They are able to take customers into account in their work. They take others into account and can work as members of a group.They are able to work according to professional ethical principles.
