Objective
Students will be able to explain how tourism differs in different parts of Finland and can describe Finland's division into tourism areas and their attractions. Students will also be able to describe why, to where and how foreign tourists travel in Finland using border interview studies.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The students are able to expertly identify a wide range of tourism regions in Finland and how they differ from each other and can provide an extensive description of tourism geography in Finland, and the pull (attraction) factors of different regions.
With the aid of border interview based research the students are able to describe and analyse extensively why, where and how foreign tourists travel in Finland. They are also able to name regions that Finns visit when abroad and why and how they go there. They are able to describe expertly the world in terms of tourist regions, the pull (attraction) factors of these regions and they can demonstrate that they actively follow current events around the world. They are able to analyse the life-cycle of a tourist resort extensively, comprehensively and analytically. They are able to work as members of a group/team promoting and developing the group's activities while critically applying professional ethics in everything that they do.

The students are able to identify well tourism regions in Finland and describe how they differ from each other and can provide a description of tourism geography in Finland, and the pull (attraction) factors of different regions.
With the aid of border interview based research the students are able to describe and analyse why, where and how foreign tourists travel in Finland. They are also able to name regions that Finns visit when abroad and why and how they go there. They are able to describe the world in terms of tourist regions, the pull (attraction) factors of these regions and they can demonstrate that they actively follow current events around the world. They are able to analyse the life-cycle of a tourist resort fairly extensively, comprehensively and analytically. They are able to work as members of a group/team to achieve a common goal, justifying their work according to professional ethics.

They are able to describe the world in terms of tourist regions, the pull (attraction) factors of these regions to a satisfactory degree and they can recount and follow current events around the world. They are able to analyse the life-cycle of a tourist resort to a satisfactory degree. They are able to work as members of a group/team taking other team/group members into account, justifying their work according to professional ethics.
