Objective

The students will
- deepen their knowledge of their field of study
- will examine current issues in business life, tourism and economics
- will be able to pick out the most relevant points from a text forming them into new texts
- will develop their ability to recount the actors and functions of their field in writing and orally
- will expand their vocabulary and form a routine for planning and compiling longer pieces of writing (e.g. a brief marketing plan)

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students have perfected writing in Swedish and can write texts without making structural or grammar mistakes. They know current affairs pertaining to the economic life, tourism and business life of Scandinavia. They are able to pick out the most relevant issues from texts or statistics forming comprehensive and descriptive written texts from them. They are able to recount the actors and functions of their field orally or in writing. They are proficient in the vocabulary of the field, being able to use it in a variety of ways and using various phrases correctly. The students are able to plan and compile longer pieces of written work (e.g. a brief marketing plan).

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students have mastered writing in Swedish well though structural or grammar mistakes may be apparent from time to time. They are familiar with current affairs pertaining to the economic life, tourism and business life of Scandinavia. They are able to pick out the relevant issues from texts or statistics and are able to write versatile texts based on them. They are able to recount the actors and functions of their field orally or in writing. They are proficient in the vocabulary of the field, being able to use it correctly to a large extent. The students are able to plan and compile longer pieces of written work (e.g. a brief marketing plan).

The students have practiced writing in Swedish well but structural or grammar mistakes are apparent. They are familiar with current affairs pertaining to the economic life, tourism and business life of Scandinavia. They are able to pick out the relevant issues from texts or statistics and are able to write cursory, simple texts. They are able to recount the actors and functions of their field. They are proficient in the vocabulary of the field, being able to make themselves understood by using it. The students have practiced planning and producing longer pieces of written work (e.g. a brief marketing plan).
