Objective

Students will know the central aspects of legislation and regulations concerning personal safety and crime prevention. Students will be able to recognise threats to personal safety and criminal threats and how to combat them. They will also be proficient in travel safety issues.

Content

Threatening situations
The safety of outsiders, clients
The safety of key persons
Recruitment and actions at the end of a work contract
Travel safety
Criminal activities aimed at a company's operations, staff or property
(Internal/external threat)
Cooperation with the authorities (police, insurance companies)
Actions in a criminal case
Legislation (use of force, citizen's arrest)

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has an excellent knowledge of the central contents of the module:(S)he applies the themes of the module and searches new solutions when solving tasks and can review and plan intelligent solutions promoting safety and security in the workplace

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student has a good knowledge of the central contents of the module . (S)he has addressed the themes of the module from various angles when solving tasks and can plan actions and act for promotion of safety and security at he workplace.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student has an average knowledge of the contents of the module and has all tasks approved. (S)he knows how to act in order to promote safety and security at the workplace.
