Maintenance Planning and ManagementLaajuus (3 cr)

Objective

Students become familiar with the planning and management of maintenance functions and familiar with the maintenance operating models used as tools in maintenance management. The student recognizes the factors affecting maintenance management and is able to apply different operating models to develop maintenance operations. In addition, the impact of maintenance on companies' profitability, among other things, will be considered, and the impact of the circular economy on maintenance planning and management will be examined.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student has achieved the basic objectives of the course and understands the factors affecting the planning and management of maintenance. The student plays an understanding of the mastery of the subjects of the course and is able to apply the knowledge appropriately in different exercises. The tasks have been carried out with high quality and the answers show familiarity with the topic and self-motivated and critical reflection. The limit of accepted performance is 70% of the maximum score.

Execution methods

Teaching is face-to-face teaching or distance learning or blended learning. Guest lecturers if possible.

Accomplishment methods

Completion of the course consists of lectures, various exercises and assignments in the lecture as well as independent study. The student compiles the assignments to be completed during the course as well as the other exercises into one returnable whole.
