Students will know which factors lead to an infection and how to prevent infections from spreading. They will also know the most common infectious diseases, related legislation and be proficient in the duty to keep the public informed.

The students are able to use the professional terms of their field of study and combine them. They are able to analyse, compare, combine and select knowledge and offer alternative procedures. They are able to analyse, reflect upon and critically assess their own expertise and the professional procedures of their field using previously acquired knowledge. They are able to work independently, responsibly, with initiative and flexibly in any type of learning and operational environments.
