Objective
The students will know how to use up-to-date nursing science and evidence based information when planning, implementing, assessing, and developing nursing and their professional expertise.
Content
The students will be able to acquire the best up-to-date knowledge and apply it systematically, critically and with due consideration in decision making concerning the health of an individual patient, group of patients or the population. They will be able to describe the requirements of evidence based activities and to reinforce evidence based activities in their work communities.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The students know how to find evidence based information and to compile systematic review of literature that can be used at work. The students analyse evidence based information in nursing decision-making obtained from different sources with aim of developing their work community. The students assess strategies and work plans in their own nursing activities and work towards developing their work community based on this analysis.

The students know how to find evidence based information and to compile a systematic literature review. They are able to apply evidence based information obtained from various sources in nursing decisions and the work community. The students can apply strategies and work plans in their own nursing activities and in the work community.
