Objective
Students will be competent to promote children's overall wellbeing being proficient in observing and assessing children's motor development and able to recognise variation in such development. They will also know how to explain the link between exercise and learning and will be able to develop children's socio-emotional skills.

The students are able to choose with expertise the teaching methods and content for Physical Education sessions for children to promote their overall well-being. The students are able to choose with expertise the teaching methods and content for Physical Education sessions to improve children's motor skills. The students are able to choose with expertise the teaching methods and content for Physical Education sessions that utilise the connection between learning (Maths, mother tongue) and exercise. The students are able to choose with expertise the teaching methods and content for Physical Education sessions that improve group or individual interaction skills. They are able to work independently, professionally and in a goal-oriented manner in teaching and instruction situations.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students are able to name, describe and give reasons for factors that influence the well-being of children in the school environment. The students are able to give reasons for and assess the stages of children's motor development within different age groups as well as for anomalies in such development (adapted sports and exercise). They can justify and assess the links between learning and exercise, selecting appropriate methods and contents for PE sessions to improve interaction skills and assess their progress. The students are able to work independently and responsibly in learning and instruction situations. They can work as group members to promote the common objectives of the group.

The students are able to name and describe factors affecting children's overall well-being in the school environment, recognising the stages of motor development and anomalies in development (adapted sports and exercise) within different age groups. They recognise the links between learning and exercise. The students are able to plan and carry out a PE session taking group interaction into account. They work in an appropriate manner in learning and instruction sessions and can take others into consideration. They are able to work in a group.
