Objective

Students will be able to read and make technical and assembly drawings for machine construction and draft and draw technical drawings of simple parts and of the assembly of small constructions.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Grade 5 (excellent)
The students know how to use a wide range of technical drawing methods expertly for design purposes, can choose and critically assess different technical drawing techniques and work with others as a team to achieve common goals.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Grade 3-4 (good)
The students are able to name and describe the methods and principles of technical drawing and can apply them appropriately and with justification in the design context.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Grade 1-2 (satisfactory)
The students know how to use a comprehensive range of technical drawing methods expertly for design purposes, can choose and critically assess different technical drawing techniques and work as part of a group to achieve common goals.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Good - Excellent (3-5):
The students are able to use form and location tolerances fluently. They are able to draw and size assembly and welding drawings. They have actively completed all drawing exercises.

Satisfactory (1-2):
The students are able to use AutoCAD software and can compile working diagrams of mechanical parts complete with headings. They are able to create printable files from the drawings for print-out purposes and have participated in drawing exercises.
