Objective

Students will be able to utilise AutoCAD and create construction and structural drawings using application programmes.

Content

Creating drawings using AutoCAD 2010 and ARK 11 and RAK 7. The course assignment is to create drawings of a detached family house for building permission purposes.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students are able to use AutoCAD software (ARK, RAK) with expertise and can compile accurate level, detail and cross-section drawings with correct print settings. They are able to use online material with expertise and have participated actively in all drawing exercises.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to use AutoCAD software (ARK) well and can compile building permit drawings of a house while planning various detail and cross-section drawings. They are able to use online material. They are able to create plt and PDF files of the plans for printing. They have participated in all drawing exercises.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to use AutoCAD software (ARK) and can compile building permit drawings of a house using the software. They are able to create plt and PDF files of the plans for printing.
