Objective

Students will be proficient in the terminology of sports and recreation, being able to communicate using spoken and written Swedish during sports and leisure related communication and interaction situations.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students are able to explain in their own words and fluently compensate for any lack of vocabulary as well as being able to use sports/exercise related terminology accurately. They are able to talk about their education, work experience and occupations e.g. in a job application situation. They can introduce themselves and others spontaneously, discuss småprat topics and actively maintain the conversation in situations involving multi- professional and cultural groups. They know how prepare and deliver a convincing, logical presentation/instruction session together with the appropriate materials as well as answer the audience's/customers' questions immediately and in depth if required. They are able to communicate and instruct customers skillfully even in demanding situations involving different professionals and cultures (e.g. meetings, negotiation, feedback discussions), adapting their communication style to the situation and partners in communication.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to express issues in a different way if necessary and use sports and exercise related terminology fairly accurately. They can discuss the main points of their education, work experience and occupation as a whole e.g. in a job application situation. The students can introduce themselves and others, discuss smäprat topics and take responsibility for maintaining their side of a discussion involving people with different professions and of different cultural backgrounds. They are able to prepare and deliver a short but clear presentation/instruction session. The students are able to communicate clearly in fundamental situations involving people of different professions and cultural backgrounds (e.g. instruction sessions, spoken and written reporting), adapting their style of communication to the situation and to with whom they are communicating.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to use basic sports and exercise vocabulary so that their basic message is communicated. They can talk about their education, work experience and duties briefly and using simple expressions so that others can understand almost everything that they are saying e.g. in a job application situation. They are able to introduce themselves and others and discuss familiar topics in situations involving people of different professions and cultural backgrounds. They students are able to prepare and deliver a simple and comprehensible presentation/instruction session on familiar topics using existing material, help and advice. They are able to communicate so as to be understood in simple routine situations involving people of different professions and cultural background (e.g. giving instructions, email, form-filling, CV, presentation of work place).
