Objective
Students will know the educational, knowledge based and skills based aims and teaching methods of physical education.
Content
The aims and contents of physical education
Planning, implementing and assessing physical exercise
Instructing and teaching methods
Education with the aid of exercise and for the purposes of promoting exercise
safety in physical education teaching
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Students are able to interpret and analyse extensively and with expertise physical education -related concepts and methods. In the instruction situation they take into account individuals in the group (differentiation). They are able to select and use appropriate instruction and teaching styles in a variety of ways and can assess and justify their
implementation. They can work independently, responsibly and with initiative in learning and instruction situations. The students are able to predict the future and create something new (innovation). They know how to act professionally and purposefully in a teaching and instruction situation.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students are able to name, describe, and mix and match instruction styles. They can name, describe and justify physical education-related concepts and methods. While instructing the students are able to take individuals into account in a group situation (differentiation). Their plans are logical, and they are able to select and use appropriate
instruction styles, assessing their implementation. The students can work independently and responsibly in learning and instruction situations.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The students are able to name and describe physical education concepts and methods. They can plan and implement an instruction and teaching situation. The plan may display a lack of logic and goal setting may be deficient. The students work in an appropriate manner during teaching and instruction sessions. counseling situations. Their instruction makes use of routine good practices(the students stay in their comfort zone).
