Objective

Students will understand the significance of staff and their own resources in terms of enabling business strategies and human resource leadership processes as core business process support functions. They will be conversant in the main legal regulations concerning employment and official post contracts and the main areas governing the handling of working life relationships. Students will know what must be done to regulate human resource volume, ensure required competence and skills and maintain motivation.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Using the basic conceptual framework of leadership, the students are able to analyse management and the factors which affect it. They can assess the content of different HR management tasks and can specify HR management theoretical models as a basis for assessing and analysing leadership.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Using the basic conceptual framework of leadership the students are able to provide a rudimentary analysis of management and the factors which affect it in different situations. They can describe the tasks of HR management and are aware of the application of management theory and use of management tools.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students know the basic concepts, backgrounds and fundamental theories of management and know how to use management models to a rudimentary degree in different situations. They are able to name the tasks of HR management and know the fundamental management theories and tools. They can describe the the main principles of competence leadership.
