Objective

Students will observe the tourism work and business sector and learn basic customer service skills.

Information sessions before the placement

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass:
The students apply for a practical training place according to instructions, take part in the practical training information sessions and return the written practical training agreement by the deadline. The students take part in accomplishing different practical tasks with the work team following the rules and safety regulations of working life and taking other members of the group into consideration. The students observe and examine the company's partners in cooperation. They record and report on their working hours spent on different tasks. The students compile a written report according to instructions and assess what they have learnt in an oral presentation.

Fail:
The students fail to apply for a practical training place and to return the practical training agreement by the deadline. The students do not follow the rules of working life and their period of practical training is interrupted. The students fail to complete their agreed working hours or their work time form is not accepted. The students fail to compile a written report or their report has not be compiled according to instructions. They fail to participate in the oral presentation.
