Objective
Students will know the main operational environments of adventure activities in Finland - natural environments, sports facilities and theme parks. They will know the safety requirements of such activities and can classify the service provider's duties and responsibilities regarding safety. They will be able to describe the significance of strategies and development plans in terms of implementing adventure activities, and to explain the importance of adventure pedagogy.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The students are able to recognise changes in the operational environment taking them into account when developing outward bound adventure activities. They understand the fundamental significance of national and regional strategy in the development of adventure activities and can use such strategy in their development. They are able to make comprehensive use of adventure activity pedagogy elements in the planning and implementation of adventure activities.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students observe changes in their operational environment and can recognise the impacts of such changes on the industry. They are able to describe the significance of strategies and development plans in terms of how and which adventure activities are implemented. They are able to list the duties and responsibilities of the service provider from a safety perspective and understand their importance in practice. They are able to use some elements of adventure activity pedagogy in adventure activities.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The students recognise the main fields of operation where adventure activities are produced and implemented in Finland - natural surroundings, sports and exercise locations and theme parks. They can list the main adventure activity strategies and their main points. They know the basic safety requirements of adventure activities and they can explain the significance of adventure pedagogy.
