Objective

Students will get to know the practical tasks associated with their field of study and service production, being able to apply knowledge acquired from their basic and professional studies. They will actively participate in tasks given to them and reflect upon their own competence in terms of their theoretical knowledge.

Practical training information sessions before practical training starts
Submission and acceptance of preliminary tasks and the practical training agreement
Practical training via work related to their field of study

Pass:
The students are able to search for a tourism-related training place supporting their specialism (major), according to the given instructions. They have attended the practical training information sessions, completed any preliminary assignments, set themselves objectives and submitted a signed practical training agreement to the practical training coordinator. The students are able to describe the various jobs and services offered by the practical training place and after induction can work independently. They are able to assess what they have learnt at the practical training place in relation to knowledge acquired during their basic and professional studies, being able to reflect upon their own professional development. The students have compiled and submitted a written practical training report according to instruction and have participated in the feedback seminar. The students are able to implement a minor development project under supervision in line with the needs of their practical training place.

Fail:
The students are not able to search for a tourism related training place supporting their specialism (major), according to the given instructions. They have not attended the practical training information sessions, completed any preliminary assignments, set themselves objectives and submitted a signed practical training agreement to the practical training coordinator. The students are not able to describe the various jobs and services offered by the practical training place and after induction are not able to work independently. They are not able to assess what they have learnt at the practical training place in relation to knowledge acquired during their basic and professional studies, nor are they able to reflect upon their own professional development. The students have not compiled and submitted a written practical training report according to instruction and have not participated in the feedback seminar. The students have not implemented the required minor development project.
