Objective

Students will recognize the importance of accounting in business and will be proficient in the basic principles of bookkeeping and compiling financial statements. They will also know how to assess a company's economic situation using the financial statement and understanding the its significance in terms of corporate taxation. Additionally students will know the basics of financing and financial planning and the main services of the financial markets.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students are proficient in the basic principles of bookkeeping and financial statements.They are able to make conclusions using financial statements and business ratios and can conduct financial planning for a business. They use bookkeeping and financial planning techniques and models critically and work as a group and team developers and team spirit developers.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are proficient in the basic principles of bookkeeping and financial statements. They are able to apply corporate taxation legislation, interpret the figures presented in financial statements and can conduct financial planning for a business. They use bookkeeping and financial planning techniques and models critically and participate in group or team work to achieve common goals.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are recognise the importance of bookkeeping and financial statements in financial monitoring. They are able to name corporate taxation legislation, calculate the figures presented in financial statements and can list source of finance while possessing knowledge of financial planning methods. They use bookkeeping and financial planning techniques and models under supervision and participate in group or team work.
