Objective

Students will be proficient in the basics of business English while understanding the importance of intercultural linguistic and human relations.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students are able to explain in their own words and fluently compensate for any lack of vocabulary as well as being able to use business terminology accurately. They are able to communicate even in demanding business situations (e.g. customer service and reporting)

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to express issues in a different way if necessary and use business terminology fairly accurately. The students are able to communicate clearly in fundamental situations (e.g. telephone conversations).

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to use basic business vocabulary so that their core message is communicated. They are able to communicate so as to be understood in simple routine situations (e.g. Email, form-filling, CV, presentation of work place).
