Objective
Students will know how to carry out the different tasks involved in meetings and negotiations, as well as appropriate written and spoken communication and use effective communication methods.
Content
Group communication and the negotiation process, how to have influence and different forms of argumentation
Meetings techniques and the different roles of those participating in the meeting
Different forms of decision making, voting and election
Documents: invitation, agenda, memo, minutes, application, motion, statement
Keeping others informed and informative texts: press release, staff briefing, cover note, publications
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The students use their expertise in meetings and negotiations and actively work for achieving an end result. They use various methods of communication creatively and promote a positive atmosphere. The students use various channels of communication as appropriate recording the items of the meetings concisely and clearly in the documents of the meeting.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students are able to justify their own opinions in meetings and negotiations taking other participants into account in interactive situations. They are able to maintain a positive atmosphere. The students are able to record the content of the meetings informatively and appropriately in the documents of the meetings.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The students know the most common interaction situations and channels of the organisation. They are able to work in meetings and negotiations and can compile basic documentations for meetings and negotiations according to a given template.
