Objective

Students will be able to use the most important e-communication tools and understand the significance and future trends in e communication from the point of view of their own field of work. They will also be able to analyse the opportunities of using e communication tools for developing their own work.

Content

The Internet as a communication tool
The tools of interactive media in a company's and organisation's operations
Applying web functions in a company
Communication monitoring methods and tools
E communication data security and developing instructions on how to use the Internet

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students are able to use e communication tools systematically and can assess alternative tools. They are able to observe and develop the communication of their organisation in a variety of ways using the opportunities provided by e communication.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to demonstrate their knowledge of the theory of the field. They know which tools are suitable for one-off situations. The students are able to implement various communication tools and methods suitable for different situations.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to use single tools.
They are able to search for solutions for a specific situation from amongst different tools.

The course focuses on the Internet environment and internet based tools.
