Students will be conversant with the devices used in automated manufacturing such as conveyors, storage and dosing devices.

The students are able to use a wide range of piece handling device concepts and operating principles with expertise and can combine devices for use in automated production processes. They are able to select and critically assess alternative ways of implementing various piece handling methods and can present alternative solutions. They are able to work as part of a team, promoting the team's activities.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to name and describe the basic functions of devices used in automated piece handling production and can use the professional concepts of the field systematically. They are able to apply various alternative ways of implementing piece handling methods in automatic production and can justify their choice.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to name and describe devices of piece handling systems and are able to work as part of a team taking others into consideration.
