Objective

This course covers the implementation principles of different automation systems and the importance of control systems, as well as the structures of programmable devices and the principles of programming.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students are able to use a wide range of control systems concepts and operating principles with expertise and can combine devices for use in automated production processes. They are able to select and critically assess alternative ways of implementing various control systems and can present alternative solutions. They are able to work as part of a team, promoting the team's activities.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to name and describe the basic functions of control systems used in automated production and can use the professional concepts of the field systematically. They are able to apply various alternative ways of implementing control systems in automatic production and can justify their choice of system.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to name and describe devices of various control systems and are able to work as part of a team taking others into consideration.
