Objective
Students will recognise the main positive resources that promote the health of Finland's population and threats to national health. They will be proficient in the main elements of health promotion and health promotion guidance. Students wil be competent in instructing individuals, groups, and different communities using a variety of health promotion methods during a health counselling event.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The students are able to use health promotion concepts expertly in a variety of situations and to connect them when planning, implementing and assessing a health promotion intervention. They can work independently, with initiative and flexibly when choosing participants for the intervention and when planning different types of versatile health promotion methods for the intervention. They are able to reflect upon their work during the health promotion intervention in terms of customer orientation and working life development.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students are able to systematically use and justify the use of fundamental health promotion concepts and various health promotion methods when planning, implementing and assessing a health promotion intervention. They are able to assess and reflect upon their own abilities, work independently and responsibly when planning, implementing and evaluating a health promotion intervention. They are able to work so that the point of departure of the activity is participant-needs based and are able to justify their work according to professional ethical principles.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The students are able to use appropriate fundamental health promotion concepts when planning, implementing and assessing a health promotion intervention, taking into account the participants and their needs. They are to work according to professional ethical principles.
