Objective
Students will be able to explain the significance of exercise in health promotion and can apply their knowledge base when instructing for health promotion purposes. They will be interested in exercises for the purpose of advancing and maintaining their own wellbeing.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Students use the concepts of health promoting exercise with expertise. They know how to assess and develop exercise promotion methods for different life stages. They are proficient in applying the exercise counselling work process in a customer-oriented manner. They are able to organise group activities and to critically assess and reflect upon their own work.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students use health promoting exercise concepts and terminology systematically, being able to implement exercise counselling through reasoning. They can interpret exercise recommendations and compile exercise instructions in a customer-oriented manner. They work in a goal-oriented manner as a group.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Students use health promoting exercise terms and concepts in a controlled manner. They can explain how physical activity is linked to health. They know how to define health promoting exercise recommendations at different life stages and for different states of health. They are able to conduct fitness measurements safely and to a high standard. They are able to describe the main principles of the exercise counselling process and to work as members of a group.
