Objective

Students will have in depth knowledge of the self-care of the most common national diseases, being able to apply its methods to help patients/customers to recover and cope. They will be able to plan, instruct and assess the implementation of self-care.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students are able to use a wide range of self-care methods for national diseases. They can compare their work to appropriate self-care methods. They are able to assess critically their own work when instructing and supporting patients in self-care.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to give reasons for using self-care methods for nursing national diseases and can apply appropriate methods in their work. They can justify their own work when instructing and supporting self-care patients in compliance with professional ethical standards.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to describe the fundamental of self-care for national diseases. They use self-care methods as appropriate in their own work and apply professional ethical principles when instructing and supporting customers in self-care.
