Objective
Students will understand and be able to indicate that they know how to use the main features and values of parent counselling. They will be able to work in a confidential relationship with parents and will adopt the competences and knowledge required to maintain an advisory relationship in the support of parents. They will be proficient in interviewing parents, recognising families where a child's healthy psycho-social development could be in danger.

Pass: The students are able to use the fundamental concepts of early interaction support systematically. They can name, describe and give reasons for the main features and values of parent counselling. The students are capable of working independently and responsibly in confidential interactive cooperation with parents. They are able to use appropriate models and methods for supporting early interaction. The students are able to recognise families needing more psycho-social support than usual. They can assess and reflect upon their own work and competence during work counselling.
