The students know how to apply and adapt their written and spoken English for the needs of working life using the terminology, topics on current contents and a variety of sentence structures. They are proficient in the basic terminology of the field. The students are able to search for and process up-to-date literature related to their field and can plan and deliver a comprehensive and natural presentation on this text and an issue related to their field of study. The students are able to pronounce and articulate English correctly.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students are able to produce basic sentence structures in writing and in speech for use in usual every day and work situations. They are able to identify and use the basic terminology of their field of study. The students are able to search for and adapt current literature in their field. They are proficient in planning and delivering an oral presentation on text they have adapted. They may make pronunciation and articulation errors from time to time.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The students are able to produce simple sentence structures in writing and speech for use in basic every day and work situations though pronunciation and grammar errors are apparent. They recognise basic terminology related to their field of study. They are able to plan and deliver an oral presentation on a topic related to their field of study with support material.
