Objective
Students will practise using spoken and written English in situations related to work and his/her specialization.
Content
Oral presentation on a current topic related to the student's specialization and writing a blog on that topic. Project description and presentation of outcomes. Written documents: application, CV, request for quotation, quotation, report. Job interview. Discussion on current issues in the field of specialization.

-is able to discuss topics relating to the professional field fluently
-reacts quickly and appropriately
-uses a communication style required by the situation
-is able to write fluently
-uses versatile structures accurately
-pronounces and articulates clearly
-understands the main contents and also details even in a more challenging text and can explain and describe the text to others
- understands and uses the terminology of the field and his/her specialization proficiently and accurately
- can use various sources when searching for information
Assessment criteria, good (3)
is rather fluent when discussing topics relating to the professional field
-reacts appropriately in most cases
-uses a communication style mostly suitable for the situation
-is quite fluent in writing
-pronounces and articulates fairly clearly
-understands the main contents and most details in texts and can explain relatively well and describe the contents of a text to others
-understands and uses the terminology of the professional field and his/her specialization rather accurately
-searches for information using different sources
-uses structures correctly in most cases and can correct possible incorrect expressions that might cause misunderstanding

-is able to manage straightforward discussions
-usually reacts in some way
-is to some extent aware of the style requirements in different kinds of texts
-writes in a way that is more or less understandable
-understands the main contents of a speech given at normal tempo and related to a familiar context
-pronounces understandably but articulation is often unclear
-is able to use the basic vocabulary of the field and his/her specialization so that the essential message comes across
-uses sources most easily available
-uses simple structures and when advanced structures are used there are errors
