Objective

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to define, design, implement and test a simple, largely commercial intelligent software and electronics component in a particular environment. The students will also be able to apply modern project management methods.

The aim of project studies is also to acquire working life skills, such as initiative, cooperation and communication skills, innovation skills, punctuality and reliability.

Content

Intelligent environment sensors and their properties (self-testing, self-calibration, fault diagnosis)
Connecting and adapting the sensors to an AD converter or microcontroller.
Intelligent environmental electronics and software solutions
Working life skills

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The course is assessed by the group evaluation method. In this method the results and achievements of the project studies are assessed and compared with the objectives studies. Participants in the assessment will be teachers, students and potential other participants (e.g. business representatives) involved in the project studies. Workplace skills are also assessed.

Grade 5
Active participation and 100% participation in teaching. Accomplish all learning objectives to an excellent degree. Can work independently. Possess commendable working life skills in all areas.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students participate well in the group's activities and reach the learning goals well. They able to work fairly independently and have quite good working life skills in all areas.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students participate actively in the group's activities. They achieve all the learning objectives satisfactorily. They are not able to work very independently but have satisfactory working life skills in all areas.
