Objective
Students will know and be able to use the experiences which Finnish culture and way of life can offer international tourists as part of tourism services.
Students will be able to plan and implement promotional material for the tour operators of a selected cultural target group.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The students are able to explain the significance of Finnish culture and cultural heritage in terms of being an asset to tourism. They are able to work in a customer and goal oriented way developing working life. They are able to critically select and assess research based knowledge and strategies in their field and use it in their work. The students are able to extensively take the principles of social responsibility into account in their work. They can critically apply the principles of professional ethics in their work.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The students are able to use Finnish culture and Finnish local culture in product development for international tourists. They are able to work professionally in customer situations. They are able to apply appropriate applied research based knowledge and strategies in their work. The students are able to apply the principles of social responsibility in their work. They know the impacts of social responsibility of tourism in the domestic and global operational environment. They can justify their work according to the principles of professional ethics.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The students are able to describe the history of the Finnish way of life and modern life as one tourism attraction factor. They are able to take customers into considerations in their work. The students are able to use appropriate research based tourism knowledge and strategies in their work. They recognise the principles of social responsibility and take them into account in their work. They are able to work according to professional ethical principles.
