Objective

The students are able to define nursing requirements, objectives, implementation and assessment according to the nursing decision making process.
They are familiar with the digital applications of nursing documentation as a part of overall patient care.
The students recognize the significance of social media in nursing and can use it professionally in patient care.
The students recognize the significance of data security in the nursing process.
They recognize the basic requirements of professional language and the importance of language in nursing documentation.

Nursing documentation and the laws that guide it
Digital applications for nursing documentation
Social media in nursing
Comprehensive non-disclosure, confidentiality and data protection duty, the patient’s right to information
Basic professional language requirements in nursing documentation
Responsibility for disclosing information: nursing logs and disclosing information
Communication supporting multi-professional cooperation

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student participates actively in completing the course assignments and exercises.
