Objective

The students will be able to explain and assess the importance of health promotion in maintaining the wellbeing and health of the population, in disease prevention, and in narrowing the gap in health differences.

Content

Definitions of health promotion, key concepts, health promotion legislation, strategies, programs and international and national recommendations.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

PASS:
The students display an ability to think independently, and to analyse and integrate information. They will be able to perceive the necessity of different national health programs and strategies in local health promotion.

FAIL:
The students are unable to analyse and integrate key knowledge concerning health promotion, health promotion strategies and programs.
