Previous editions are also suitable.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
You master the content of the main themes in detail, and understand the connections between the functions of different organ systems and regulatory systems. You master the principles of basic measurements of body functions, the interpretation of their results, and you are able to analyze the state of the body. You are able to apply information in a customer-oriented manner.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
You know the contents of the main themes, the functions of the musculoskeletal system, the respiratory and circulatory systems, and their connections to regulatory systems. You master the principles of basic measurements of body functions, but there is room for improvement in interpretation and thus in analyzing the state of the body. You are able to utilize basic information in a customer-oriented manner.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
You have a basic understanding of the contents of the main themes. In particular, you have a good understanding of the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system, as well as the respiratory and circulatory systems. However, there are shortcomings in understanding the interaction of different organ systems.
You understand the basics of measuring body functions, but there are shortcomings in interpreting and analyzing the state of the body and managing details, but you are able to work safely with clients..
Execution methods
Full-time students have face-to-face instruction according to the timetable.
Mixed-mode students have face-to-face or distance learning during teaching hours according to the timetable.
Accomplishment methods
Participation in face-to-face teaching
Independent work
Group assignments
The course consists of anatomy (2 credits) and physiology (3 credits) modules. In each module, exams serve as proof of competence (the anatomy part is divided into two separate exams). The course grade is determined as the weighted average of the anatomy and physiology exams. Anatomy counts for 40% of the course assessment and physiology counts for 60%.
