Objective

Upon completion of the course the student is expected to be able to1. define factors that affect the climate and the reasons and consequences of climate change, 2. explain how the climate change can be curbed, and 3. calculate carbon footprints.

Content

Students are introduced to following subjects on this course: The green house effect, climatic change through history, future scenarios, carbon cycle, radiative forcing, the consequences of climate change, preventing climate change and climate adaption. Students calculate their own carbon footprint during the course.
