Objective

Great sleep fuels your energy—so you can thrive in your studies, excel at work, and enjoy your free time doing what truly matters to you.

By completing this course, you will strengthen your understanding of sleep health and learn how to turn knowledge into meaningful action—both in your own life and in working communities.
You will learn to:

- confidently explain key concepts related to sleep health and recovery
- understand how sleep health supports overall wellbeing, health, and performance
- reflect on and analyse your own sleep health in relation to nutrition, sleep habits, physical activity, and mental regulation
- apply practical sleep tools to improve your own sleep and recovery (optional module 1)
- recognise effective methods leaders can use to promote sleep health in the workplace (optional module 2)
- lead and support changes in workplace practices that protect and strengthen sleep health (optional module 2)

This course empowers you to improve sleep in a practical, sustainable way—for yourself or for your work community.

Want to sleep better and recover more effectively—or support sleep health in your work community?
This practical course helps you turn sleep knowledge into action. You will analyse sleep health, set clear goals, and experiment with concrete ways to improve sleep—either for yourself or together with a colleague. If you choose the leadership track, you will design and implement a sleep health plan for your workplace and explore its long-term impact.

Further information

Opiskelet verkossa itsenäisesti noin kahden kuukauden ajan. Aloitat opinnot teoriaan tutustumalla ja jatkat käytännönläheisiin toteuttamistoimiin. Kirjoitat unentuunaamisen prosessistasi raportin. Tarvitset opintojen suorittamiseen tietokoneen ja verkkoyhteyden. Opintojakso on viiden opintopisteen laajuinen. Yksi opintopiste vastaa noin 27 tunnin työmäärää, joten tämän opintojakson oppimiseen ja unentuunaamiseen tarvitset noin 135 tuntia aikaa.

Opintojakson rakentuminen:
3 op Retkieväitä uniterveyteen (kaikille)
2 op Työntekijän uniterveyden polku (vaihtoehtoinen moduuli 1 työntekijöille ja opiskelijoille)
2 op Työyhteisön uniterveyden polku (vaihtoehtoinen moduuli 2 esihenkilöille, tiimivastaaville, päälliköille ja muille vastaavassa tehtävässä oleville)
Kaksi viimeksi mainittua ovat vaihtoehtoiset (valitse jompikumpi)
