Objective

This course is designed to equip future business leaders and team members with critical communication skills necessary for effective leadership and collaboration in a business setting. The course will cover key areas, including presentation skills, situational communication, project collaboration, public speaking, and self-leadership. Through a combination of lectures, workshops, and practical exercises, students will learn to communicate effectively across various business contexts and audiences, enhancing their leadership capabilities and team interaction skills.

* Presentation skills
• Situational communication skills (e.g. in interviews, negotiations, meetings, formal and informal networking etc.)
• Public speaking
• Non-verbal communication – body language
• Preparation techniques (including practising, pre-empting, dry runs, equipment testing etc.) – develop a personal checklist.
• Techniques to overcome anxiety and stress; Self-Leadership.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Active participation and successful completion of the assignments.
