Objective

The student is able to confront a person suffering from addiction problems and support them towards sobriety using social welfare methods in a resource-oriented manner. The student is capable of considering gender-specific aspects, both for women and men, as part of addiction treatment, and is able to take into account various methods as part of social welfare substance abuse work.

Content

Social welfare substance abuse services:

- Planning and implementation of social welfare substance abuse services in collaboration with the well-being regions
- Gender specificity in substance abuse work, addressing both male and female considerations.
- Legislation related to social welfare substance abuse services as part of service planning.
- Resource-oriented approach, dialogical communication, and motivational approach in substance abuse work.
- Various methods as part of substance abuse work.
- Information production for structural social work as part of substance abuse work.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

A successful completion requires active participation in the planning work and the completion of agreed-upon individual tasks within the given schedule.

Execution methods

-Independent online study 10-20 hours
- collaborative activities with partners/self-planning 115 hours.

Accomplishment methods

- Students participate in the planning and implementation of substance abuse services in their own welfare area, according to their choice.
- Each student will have a specific role to play, how he or she will participate and how much time he or she will spend on site, for example, implementing the service. Requires the student to actively communicate with the welfare area. The teacher will help and guide in this process if necessary.
