Objective

The students will identify their development, innovation and research competence and strengthen them in their work as health promotion specialists.
They will maintain their awareness of the latest research outcomes and development ideas and can apply them in their work. The students develop public health nursing with innovation and initiative based on the needs of society and working life.
The students participate in service an product development in cooperation with specialists and service users. The students will develop the quality of public health work using an evidence based approach and quality recommendations. The students will be able to monitor public health costs and the impact of preventive work and early intervention and support.

Content

Development of evidence based public health nursing and health promotion
Use of results of research and initiatives/projects and other work community competence in public health nursing
Future literacy in public health work, mega trends and signs of change
Discursive approach, critical understanding and evaluation
Strengthening customer-group competence
Quality and quality criteria in public health and public health nursing, quality recommendations
Basics of measuring impact
Customer feedback, customer forums, evidence based knowledge
Cooperation with the media: radio, TV, Internet, social media, articles
