The students are familiar with building history and know which materials have been used in house building and the properties of old building materials.

The students know the most important methods of renovation building and the properties of building materials used in the past. Based on this knowledge they are able to select materials to replace old building materials during a renovation project.

Opiskelija osaa sisäistää korjaushankkeen sisällön ja ymmärtää korjausprosessin läpiviennin. Opiskelija ymmärtää korjaushistorian tuntemuksen merkityksen korjausrakentamisessa ja osaa huomioida aiemmin rakentamisessa käytettyjen haitallisten ja vaarallisten aineiden merkityksen korjausrakentamisessa. Opiskelija tunnistaa laaja-alaisesti erilaisia vaurioitumismekanismeja, ja eri tasoisia korjaustapoja rakenneosittain.
