The students are able choose the appropriate materials for different uses in various parts of a building under construction. They are able to purchase technically sound and cost-efficient building materials.

The students know the most important properties and uses of the most used building materials from a construction and building life-cycle perspective. They are able to perceive which materials to use to create an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly building.
