Objective

Students will learn how to carry out various measurements linked with construction and work related measuring. They will understand the impact of metrology on building quality and the impact of estimating work volume on the project's budget.

The students are able to use various measurement devices with expertise. They are able to choose the most suitable measuring devices and can assess their suitability for use in different measurement situations.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to read measurement information present in drawings. They are proficient in the measurement and coordinate systems of building measurement.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students recognise and are able to use basic building measurement devices.
